Good Earrth Village Preschool Play Day

Preschool Play Day is for ages 3-5 with an adult the perfect time for little legs to run and jump and for big hearts to grow and share. Silly and uplifting camp songs make it easy to bond over God’s big love, while the games keep us laughing and taking in that fresh air. Chatter on the walk down to the creek might turn into yawns on the hike back up the hill. Good thing we brought a parent to help make that final climb. A light picnic lunch is included along with the authentic energy of the Good Earth Village Staff. Satisfaction guaranteed. Nap on the ride home: almost certain.

$30 Child/Adult Pair; $5 Each Additional Child or Adult

“HONK! The Musical” at the Mantorville Theatre Company

The Mantorville Theatre Company presents, “HONK! The Musical” February 17 through March 12, 2017. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm.

Winner of multiple awards, including the 2000 Olivier Award for Best Musical, this heartwarming celebration of being different is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit and memorable score!

Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out that being different is not a bad thing to be.

Directed by Denise Ruemping, our show features the acting and singing talents of Aaron Budihas, Ella Ashlin, Hannah Brumfield, Anders Herfindahl-Quint, Karl Huppler, Patrick Quint, Denise Ruemping, Joseph Ruemping, Priscilla Ruemping, Sarah Schaller, Alexi Swintek, Briana Switalski, and Meeah Underbakke.

The Y and the LIVESTRONG® Foundation joined together to create LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, a physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors achieve their holistic health goals. The research-based program offers people affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person. Participants work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to achieve their goals such as building muscle mass and strength; increasing flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem. In addition to physical benefits, LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA focuses on the emotional well-being of survivors and their families by providing a supportive community where people impacted by cancer can connect during treatment and beyond. By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA helps people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body. What is LIVESTRONG®?

Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit future LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA sessions. Each LIVESTRONG® session costs $3,000. These funds will provide resources to serve a greater number of individuals living beyond cancer diagnosis.
