Safe Essential Oil Use During Labor & Delivery
Kat is a registered nurse working at the BirthCenter for over 17 years. She is married to her husband Nick, an occupational therapist. Her oldest son is in college pursuing a degree in helicopter aviation. Her second son is a senior in high school with plans to attend River Falls.
Melissa is a registered nurse working at the BirthCenter where she has worked for over 18 years and is the BirthCenter Lead RN. Melissa is married to her husband TJ and has two children. Rachel a sophomore and Carl an 8th grader, both kids are active in sports.
Kat and Melissa are both involved in Young Living Essential Oils. They enjoy teaching classes and supporting others on the use of essential oils in their journey to health and wellness.
Kat and Melissa will be presenting on safe essential oil use during labor & delivery and briefly touch on using essential oils your baby.
Fitness For Mom: Before and After Baby
Nicole is a certified yoga instructor and has been teaching yoga for over 11 years. Nicole specializes in prenatal/postnatal yoga, and yoga for seniors. She and her husband have two daughters ages 12 and 8.
Nicole will be presenting on perinatal fitness options for new and expectant mothers. She will also be demonstrating prenatal yoga and core mama moves that involved both mom and new baby!
The Power of a Woman’s Body: Defining a Physiologic Birth
Olmsted Medical Center’s thriving midwifery service now has 5 Certified Nurse Midwives who attend births at the Women’s Health Pavilion. Midwives view pregnancy and birth as normal life events that can be a healthy time in your life. They are experts in knowing the difference between normal changes that occur and symptoms that require extra attention. Midwives specialize in providing support and education in addition to regular health care and offer health care that respects the goals and choices of each individual woman and family.
Patricia Hinck has been a certified nurse midwife for 12 years: practicing at Olmsted Medical center since July 2013. She is married with two grown children and two dogs. Amy Ntoburi has been a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner for over 12 years and a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) since 2014. She has been caring for women and their families at Olmsted Medical Center (OMC) since 2009. She was the 3rd CNM to join the midwifery practice at OMC.
Pat and Amy will be presenting on the OMC Midwife services and your Birth Options within a hospital.

Building Trust into Pregnancy and Postpartum Nutrition
Heather Plizga is a registered dietitian with her Masters in Nutrition and Wellness. She has worked in many specialty areas in dietetics including: wellness, geriatrics, diabetes, clinical nutrition as well as outpatient nutrition counseling. She currently specializes in parent/child feeding practices. She is working to launch a private practice for families struggling with eating and feeding. Allison Loftus MA, LPCC is the owner of Flourish Counseling. As a wife, mom of three, and business owner she is a big believer in the power of self-care. Nursery Block Craft
We are pleased to offer a very special Bloom experience for you this year! You will be able to bring home a customized Nursery Block Craft The craft consists of 3, 2″x2″ pine wood cubes that you will chalk paint in various designs. See examples below. There will be various shapes and designs to choose from: all to fit the them and style of your baby’s nursery! We will have step-by-step instructions and someone to guide you through the process . There will be two craft sessions to choose from during the morning. However, it is also available as an add-on for $10. Simply add the Nursery Block ticket to your purchase below!
