Clean As a Whistle

Ok, confession time.  I’m tidy, I’m organized, I’m orderly.  I can’t stand cleaning  I can’t handle it.  I’d rather be doing about a million other things besides cleaning…but since I’m all of the things I described above…I clean everyday.  Every. Day!  

When I went back to work after my daughter was born, the extreme hectic schedule of simply getting everyone everywhere on time was taxing.  Between all of the household responsibilities, work schedules, and other commitments of being business owners, we were feeling stressed to get it all done AND enjoy each other AND our daughter. After one late night session cleaning the bathroom, I said to myself, “That’s it.  Something’s gotta give.”

img_0844I decided to re-allocate some money in our household for a cleaning service.  Enter Clean as a Whistle.  Brianna and her team whisked into my home like happy cleaning fairies. They had zero issue with my small, old home that seemed to collect dust on top of dust.  After an initial assessment, I was scheduled to have my first deep clean.  

Brianna and her crew will work with you to find a time that works best with your schedule.  Already out of the home at a certain time? Great!  Brianna will do her best to accommodate that.  It is one of the best feelings in the world to come home to a clean house…the floors!  The sink! The baseboards…all clean! Not to mention it just smells fresh and clean.

If you’re like me, you’ll have some questions.  

Here’s what I asked Brianna and her crew at Clean as a Whistle before she started:

  • Do I need to be out of the house for you to clean? It’s entirely up to you!
  • Do I need to straighten and tidy before you come? Nope.  We can tidy and straighten for you.  If you don’t mind someone else putting away your things, we don’t mind either!
  • Do I need to clean before you come? Ummm, nope.  That’s what we are there for.  We promise promise we have seen much worse than your house. Promise.
  • Do I need to set out cleaning supplies for you? Not unless  you have specific cleaners you’d like us to use.  We can even bring our vacuum cleaner!
  • How long does it take? It depends on the size of your house.  We will schedule a deep clean for your house so we have a baseline to start from.  After that we will be able to tell how long it will take us. Most homes fall in the 2-4 hour range.

After meeting Brianna and seeing her work and hearing her passion, I knew that we had officially entered clean-as-a-whistle-3into a long-term relationship.  We have settled on once a month.  I’m able to keep things semi-tidy and clean in the weeks after she cleans.  This has been an incredible time-saver for me…and I can spend my time with my family.  As a mom who also runs a business while working from home, finding a balance is important.  Adding Clean as a Whistle to our family’s budget was a very, very good decision for us.  We have seen the value of being able to take back that time and invest it into time with our family.
